With a background in large-scale infrastructure and digitalization programmes, she’s known for navigating the intersection of strategic vision, operational oversight, and governance with precision and purpose.

David has 30 years of experience in the urban and rail transport industry and has held several positions as project manager and director on signaling system renewal projects and programs with CBTC and ERTMS, mainly internationally on large-scale projects.
David is a systems thinker with a passion for turning complexity into clarity. With three decades of experience in the rail and urban transport sector, he has led and advised on some of the most ambitious signalling modernisation projects around the world – from ERTMS on national networks to CBTC in dense urban settings.

As founder of Nordic Signals, David ensures that the technical foundation of every project is as robust as the strategic vision behind it. His expertise spans the entire lifecycle – from business case and procurement to commissioning and system acceptance. Currently advising the MTA in New York and the Société des Grands Projets in Paris, David blends technical rigour with a collaborative approach. Her career has taken her from CBTC and ERTMS deployments to rolling stock integration and metro extensions - including her recent project management on supplier-side of the Copenhagen Metro M4 extension. Across each project, she is known for creating structure, fostering collaboration, and keeping a steady eye on timelines, interfaces, and outcomes.

Joanna brings not just experience but perspective - always aligning the technical, contractual, and human elements of a project. Her approach is results-driven, grounded in trust, and committed to making complex infrastructure work better for people.

Simon is a bridge-builder between strategy and execution. With a background in transport policy and stakeholder management, he helps clients turn complexity into momentum by connecting dots across systems, interests, and institutions.

Before joining Nordic Signals, Simon held key roles in the Danish Ministry of Transport and the Danish rail infrastructure manager, Banedanmark, most recently as Head of Stakeholder Relations in Denmark’s national signalling programme. His work focused on navigating political landscapes and forging alignment on one of the country’s largest digital transformation initiatives.

Ishak is a senior electrical engineer with more than twenty-five years of experience in railway systems design, installation, and commissioning. His expertise spans both vital and non-vital on-board systems, including TCMS, ATC, PTC, public address, CCTV, and intercom systems.
Over the course of his career, he has supported major U.S. transit agencies such as NYCT and New Jersey Transit, while also working on the supplier side as Systems and Vehicle Systems Engineer for leading North American manufacturers.

At Nordic Signals, Ishak contributes as an external expert within our Professional Services in New York City, strengthening our carborne and rolling stock capabilities.

Alain-Christophe is an experienced electrical engineer with more than a decade of specialised expertise as a RAMS and System Safety Engineer. Spanning Europe and North America, he has built robust proficiency in safety engineering, CBTC, PTC, and complex system integration across multiple industries including rail, aviation, and oil and gas.
He has worked as Senior RAMS and Systems Safety Consultant on projects for major suppliers such as Alstom, Hitachi Rail STS, Thales, and Siemens Mobility. His track record includes safety engineering and subsystem integration for CBTC upgrades in Philadelphia and New York; and RAM and safety assessments on the MTA’s large-scale CBTC modernisation programme.

Based in New York, Alain-Christophe supports Nordic Signals’ Professional Services for the MTA as an external resource. He brings deep systems safety knowledge, cross-industry rigour, and a proven ability to deliver compliant, reliable, and safe solutions in some of the most demanding transit environments.

Jana is a highly versatile Signalling and Systems Engineer with more than fourteen years of international rail industry experience, covering all stages of the systems engineering “V” lifecycle.
His expertise spans control and information systems, validation and verification, system design, and testing and commissioning. He has served as Principal CBTC Systems Engineer for Transport for London’s Four Lines Modernisation project, Technical Expert to the MTA in New York, and Subject Matter Expert for signalling on Rio Tinto’s Simandou mining railway, among other major programmes.

He has played key roles in Denmark’s largest rail initiatives, including the national Signalling Programme, the Future S-bane, and the Copenhagen Metro. Renowned for his ability to align suppliers, management, and end-users, Janus ensures organisations are prepared for change and equipped to realise long-term benefits.​

Ghislain Champiré is a railway systems engineer and project manager with over 25 years of experience in railway and metro modernization and development projects.
He has led major international initiatives, including Line 18 of the Grand Paris Express, the renewal of the Marseille metro system, and operational safety and RAMS management for signalling and rolling stock in North America.
Beginning his career as a safety engineer for rolling stock and signalling systems, including ERTMS and CBTC, Ghislain has since held senior leadership roles overseeing tender proposals, project delivery, and operational safety for large-scale automatic metro lines, with cumulative project values >1B EUR.
At Nordic Signals, he brings his extensive technical expertise and leadership experience as external resource to support complex projects across the rail and transit sector.

Thierry Faci
Thierry Faci brings over 30 years of experience in the railway signalling industry, with a strong focus on managing complex projects and contracts across Europe, North America, APAC, and India.
He has successfully led critical programmes worth billions of euros, combining market analysis, product benchmarking, and the integration of complete solutions. Thierry has held senior leadership positions such as Head of Strategic Markets & COO, Signalling North America, and Project Director overseeing major projects in the Middle East and the U.S. for several global suppliers in the rail and transit sector.
